They are full porcelain tooth coatings that are made entirely of ceramic and are made without the use of metal infrastructure. It mimics the light reflection, transmission and transparency properties of natural teeth as it does not use a metal substructure and consists of a full ceramic content. Therefore, a more natural appearance is obtained compared to other coatings. Empress dental veneers can be applied especially in anterior incisors, premolars and single tooth deficiencies in this region, where aesthetics are important.

In order to provide smile aesthetics,

  • In the removal of drug use and age-related discoloration
  • In teeth with root canal treatment that cannot be achieved with whitening
  • Teeth with congenital deformities
  • In the correction of situations where orthodontic treatment cannot be applied, where there is less crowding or there are spaces between the teeth (diestema).
  • It can be used on teeth with chemical and physical abrasions.

How is Empress (Full Porcelain Teeth) Applied?

To make empress veneers, a small amount of preparation (reduction) is made on the teeth. Afterwards, a precise impression is taken on the prepared teeth with special impression trays and impression materials. In dental laboratories, full porcelain veneers are prepared in accordance with the given dimensions. After the laboratory phase is over, the veneers are adjusted in the mouth by the dentist and placed on the teeth with special adhesives. The treatment is completed in an average of one week. In addition, thanks to the temporary teeth that your dentist will prepare during the treatment stages, there is no such thing as being toothless.

Differences Between Empress Veneers and Zirconium Veneers

Since both zirconium veneers and empress veneers are special porcelains that do not contain metal infrastructure, they provide very good aesthetic and biological compatibility. While empress veneers are mostly used on teeth in the anterior region due to its high level of light transmission and natural aesthetic appearance, zirconium is preferred in areas where aesthetic and high resistance teeth are present. After the intraoral checks performed by our specialist, it is decided which one to use.
